I had the silver 5 and now the Gold 5s and never had any problems with scratches on either one

id return it. i wouldnt accept that as no big deal, you dont know what it could lead to in future. i had a laptop one time made marks like that when i cleaned screen ( wiped it with a cloth ) and not long after my screen cracked. I would take it back get exchange.

Yes, and if a sales rep gives you a problem, I would ask to speak with the store manager.

Thanks for having fast response. When I got my 4s there was dust under the screen and they said wasent bad enough to replace and wanted me to pay $40 but it think my 5s issue is way worse!

Just a suggestion, but always try and buy from a corporate store. They give you less problems when something goes wrong
