Verizon says I've used almost 4GB data, but my iPhone settings says I have plenty left. How?

I received a notice from verizon that I have almost used up my 4gb data plan
But when I checked my usage under settings it said " 10.4 gb avil. 2.5 gb used
That's along way from being almost used up isn't it ?

The usage you saw in your settings was talking about storage.

You have 10.4 gb of storage for apps, music, photos, messages, videos and other stuff. The 4gb plan is for data used. If you have about used up your data, you should stay on wifi. If you use cellular data, you may go over your limit and be charged extra by your carrier.

I would suggest trying the MyVerizon app and checking usage there every once in a while, while on WiFi.

You running iOS 8 Beta? I was and it was syphoning my data. Reverted back to iOS 7.
