iPhone 5s not connecting through USB 3.0 hub - With all our new members it never hurts to help them by posting certain topics.

It is always the preference be it USB 2.0 or 3.0 that you use the USB ports on the back of your computer because they are faster. having said that if you attach a USB cord to a 3.0 it is always going to default to 2.0 if not meant for 3.0 so in essence there should be no reason in the world that it is not working. Have you tried 2 different things - Different cords and different computers. These are where i would begin.

For some reason there is an issue with using iPhones with USB 3.0 hubs connected to computers. But if you use the USB 3.0 ports on the computer it's fine. The only fix is to connect the phone directly to the USB port on the computer.

Sometimes its an easy fix other times it isn't. I had this issue a few months ago and out of the blue my 5S stopped connecting to my MBP. After searching the internet a trying everything I could find, I took the phone and my MBP to Apple and come to find out my Logic Board needed to be replaced. They replaced it for free and had my baby back to me within 2 days. No issues since.
