If you get the 5S at the apple store for full price you can use it on both carriers since it will be factory unlocked.

The Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile iPhone 5s are all the exact same model (A1533); though it appears that the CDMA antenna is turned off on the GSM (AT&T, T-Mobile) version of the A1533.

Yeah there's LTE coverage. I have T-mobile and I get LTE outside our college (Notre Dame College) but T-mobile's in building penetration isn't so great with their LTE and 4G. It always drops to E in some places and "No Service" in other places.

Depends on what model the 5 is... Apple released a version of the 5 for t-mobile that had support for the AWS frequency which if I'm not mistaken is what t-mobiles LTE network uses.
