Can someone explain this to me? Is the Verizon iPhone 5s GSM SIM unlocked so that it will work with an ATT or TMobile SIM card as well as an international SIM card?

Just not Sprint or any other CDMA carrier, correct?

Yes as long as you buy it full retail. There's actually an entire thread talking about it started by Irish Rose

Thanks, but I am pretty sure it is with the subsidized phones, too, since Verizon had to agree to device portability to get the license to block C of the spectrum.

    Can anyone confirm?

Definitely for 3G gsm speeds. For intl carriers you would need to verify the LTE bands to make sure they match up. The Verizon, ATT, and tmobile ones all have the same LTE bands but intl carriers may need different bands.

its ALL verizon LTE enabled iphones.....subsidized or not. its part of their LTE agreement with the FCC that they are required to have the SIM slot fully unlocked for both domestic and international SIM cards.

and i believe the verizon iphone will only get HSPA+ on at&t but the 5C and 5S may be able to get LTE. not 100% sure though.

Yeah forgot about subsidized. Yes the 5C and 5S will get LTE for any carrier cause of the increased bands in the radio compared to the iPhone 5.

My Verizon 5S currently used on AT&T is getting LTE speeds as high as 52Mbps down and 12Mbps up. The 5C should see the same speeds.

Do you mean the iPhone 5 will only get HSPA+ on ATT?

Correct. While the Verizon iPhone 5 is totally unlocked for GSM it uses different LTE bands than AT&T does so you will not be able to get AT&T LTE on it, only HSPA+. The 5S offers more LTE support bands, which is why the Verizon 5S will work on AT&T's LTE network.

Does the Verizon iPhone 5 deliver 4G LTE on TMobile's network?

LOL sorry, yea i forgot to write "5" after iphone. as stated here by the others.....

Verizon iPhone 5 on AT&T/T-Mobile will only get EDGE, 3G, HSPA+
Verizon iPhone 5S/5C on AT&T and T-Mobile will get all of the above, including LTE because they included more LTE bands for domestic use.

If you want LTE on local GSM carriers and want an unlocked Verizon iPhone, you will need a 5S or 5C. You cannot use the 5 unless you will settle for non-LTE speeds.
