update on making personal ringtone/notification tones for iOS7 & iTunes 11?

i googled and cannot find a method for converting and adding ring and notification tones for my iphone5s

can someone direct me to a web page or thread explaining how to do so?

The link taz gave works great and fairly standard. I use it at times although I do tend to stay with the tones that are already on my phone.

Garage band is free and the tone I'm using I made using that app, note I'm not knowledgeable on apple products , just jumping over so there maybe easier ways

There's an app for that. Actually many apps for making ringtones. Two of the ones I have tried both came with video help on getting them on your phone. One of them I used is called simply "ringtones"
