I say try Apple and the in store pickup option that's now available, depending on your color/size preference ATT seems to be the most available carrier

Apples in store pickup option has been stopped for all wireless carriers for now. No word on when or if they plan on starting this up again.

I don't think it really matters at this point. You are looking at ship times of October no matter if you order through Apple or AT&T.

Yea, it didn't take but one day for Apple to shut down the in store pickup option.
