Nope. No customs in Qatar for consumers, only businesses. I saved about 150$. I also got a device that supports about 12 LTE frequencies, including the one my carrier uses. Also it supports LTE in all the countries I might ever visit in my life time (Even in the UK it can work on EE 1800 MHZ LTE)
