This is nerve wrecking...Mine departed Louisville KY at 2:08 today and arrived in Knoxville TN at 6:31..I don't know if the truck is driving or they flying my shipment to Atlanta. Does anyone know with shipments coming to from UPS?

LoL did you read the post I was responding to? The person ordered on October 5th and was annoyed that 5 days later their status hasn't changed. I was simply pointing out that he/she will have to wait a while since people who ordered on launch day do not yet have their phones. Not sure what you read.

does your Scheduled Delivery say Thursday, 10/10/2013, By End of Day???
If yes they will probably fly it to you. Mine still did not depart KY today... :C But I still hope they will make it here to South GA tomorrow

Yes it says 10/10/2013...I hope it really makes it tomorrow..I am having it delivered at work and they usually come around 10am, but one of my coworkers didn't receive hers today from UPS...I know Apple stated 10/14 and just hope this isn't the case with mine. This is my first Iphone and not used to waiting, patting feet or biting nails waiting for a phone. LOL

I live in Boston. Bradley int is only 30min flight to Boston but there is no ups flight between the two airports. wondering if they will go in ups truck Boston. hopefully at some point tomorrow I'll be a happy man

Their tracking updates are almost 3 hours slow in some cases. There are flights from Louisville to Jacksonville, like this one UPS1322 from the history it looks to be an early morning flight, typically. More than likely yours will make it out on the next one out.

AND

Local handling tends to be much more rapid as there isn't the same volume as there was in the bulk shipping stages. Mine took only 26 min to get unloaded, scanned, sorted, scanned, and loaded on to the truck to the final sorting facility.

Edit: AMEX declined the charge and so my order status went back to "processing".

Just in case anyone has this happen to them: I called AMEX to remove the block on my card (they thought it might be a fraudulent purchase) and the order went through again and is "preparing for shipment" again! I was afraid if have to wait a long time after the initial charge was declined but nope.
