I ordered my GOLD iPhone 5S 16gb on September the 20th. i got up at night at 3:00 (iPhone sales started at 3:01 AM in my time zone) and i was done with checking out at 3:07 so i got into 7-10 business days range.
Today at about 4-5 PM my status changed to Preparing for Shipment.
So it will hopefully ship soon
And I am from United States.
Just wanted to tell you guys about me, maybe it will help some of you. is anybody in the same situation?

Nice! It should ship fairly soon. Mine did after 12hrs of "preparing for shipment".

Looks like non-subsidized phones may be starting to ship. My VZW Silver 64GB 5S went into "Preparing for Shipment" phase about an hour ago.

I ordered mine ~ 0800 on the 20th, and am in the "Delivers Oct 7 - Oct 10" window.

Shipping email arrived early this morning. Expected delivery is Weds. Having it delivered to the local UPS Store so I don't have to worry about missing the delivery while at work.

Hoping it is in the first batch of October shipments.

I ordered AT&T 32g (Gold) at about 3:11 EST on the 20th.. I should of been faster with ordering it, it changed to 7-10 days until shipment right before my eyes

Order status is still processing... was hoping it would have shipped by yesterday..

Says delivery on october 7-10 (by 2-3 business days)
I just hope I get it soon I'm so impatient it's crazy lol

I ordered a gold 32 gb for AT&T on sept 20th right at 3:01 am EST... just missed the 3 day shipping window by seconds but hopefully it will be getting on the road today!

Gold 64G AT&T - ordered on Apple.com on 20 Sep with confirmation email from Apple at 00:05 PDT. Original status 7 to 10 business days. Went to preparing for shipping status on 27 Sep. Now UPS tracking status is Out for Delivery! (low point was when it sat in China for 3 days after it was in a Shipped status)

I ordered at the same time as you for the exact same reason. Mine is still processing and "available to ship October". I really wish they would update it to a more concrete date... even if it's the end of October, I'd rather just know.

So, regardless of the fact that I am posting on this thread, I am actually fairly patient. However, with my wifi not working on my 4s I'm eating data like crazy. I'm already on my 2nd overage charge and not out of the first half of the billing cycle. Long story short, I am eager to get my 5s.

I ordered the 32gb ATT 5s Space gray. I ordered it yesterday and it says in progress as the status. Their estimated date was 10/92013 - 10/18/2013. I guess my question is this. Is this when I can ACTUALLY expect the phone or are they shipping earlier for some. I hear that the 32gb models of space gray are shipping faster than others. Any thoughts. I swear to god I'm patient........

My Gold 64G was originally promised by 8 Oct- 11 Oct and I am getting it today. I hope that you have the same luck with your order. Sorry to hear about your broke 4s.
I think that Apple normally under promises and over delivers on their orders.
