Ordered my 16GB space gray at 12:03 AM Friday. It's headed for SoCal via Zheng Zhou China - Incheon Korea - and arrived in Anchorage, AK at 1:09 PM their time this afternoon. UPS says it's scheduled for delivery Wednesday by end of day. I'm going to nickname my phone Carmen San Diego, lol!

I don't know why happening this but I guess give priority to the orders with contracts and the unlocked phone orders leave them to ship last. Still preparing for shipping. How long needs to prepare? 2 days?

I ordered both an on-contract iPhone (Gold 32gig AT&T) along with an unlocked iPhone (Space Grey 32gig) through Apple at 12:11 PST on 09/20 and they're both still being processed and showing shipment between 10/8 - 10/11.

I would like to think before 8pm. Going from past experience though, FedEx delivers to my place at the exact time they list. UPS on the other hand usually gets here closer to midnight. Which is infuriating.

That’s the normal route. And despite being in Anchorage now, odds are that it will travel to the midwest before it hits SoCal. if it’s FedEx, it’s going to Memphis. If it’s UPS, it’s headed to Louisville.

I ordered my 32GB Gold (unlocked) at 12:01am pst on Friday, and it's still sitting at "processing" also, with a 7-11 day shipping availability. I could have walked out of the Apple Store with a Space Grey model several times now, but I am holding out for the Gold one. Waiting sucks though, lol.

From what you and @ame have said, I gather that Apple ships out the contract/subsidized phones first? I ordered my 4S from VZW, and this time around from Apple, so Apples way is new to me.

I got my shipping notification at 1141pm last night. Woot! Says Wed delivery. My husband will be here to sign for it, so hopefully they let him.

FedEx for residential deliveries is any time from when it gets put on the truck for delivery up until 8pm typically. You should have it in hand before that most likely.
