It's horrible. I was supposed to get 8 hours minimum.
It is purely usage with 3G?

That screenshot was with WiFi and LTE usage. I am on WiFi about 75% of the time. However there are days when I am out and not around WiFi, in which case my LTE usage is much higher.

My 5s drains its battery mega quick. even in the airplane mode, it just goes. fully charged 7.30 am; down to 3% by 5.30pm with only 1hour 30 minutes of heavy usage and for the rest of the day it was on the airplane mode.its definitely ****ed one way or another (software/hardware). apple wanna charge me 30 for some ups service that will deliver my 5s replacement. taking the pi** a little bit there in my opinion. and frankly i don't want a phone that has been opened up and messed with (battery tested, diagnosed, other parts tested etc) simply because of the amount I paid in the first place.

I don't get this post, sorry. If you don't want Apple to diagnose the problem that you are having with your battery, what would else would you like them to do in order to resolve this issue for you? If you have an Apple store nearby, you can always eliminate the shipping charge by going there directly and they will perform testing from within the store. This way you will also get a replacement device much faster as well should Apple not be able to fix the battery problem.

You can view your iPhone usage statistics by choosing Settings > General > Usage. Under the "Time since last full charge" heading you'll see two items:

Usage: Amount of time iPhone has been awake and in use since the last full charge. The phone is awake when you’re on a call, using email, listening to music, browsing the web, or sending and receiving text messages, or during certain background tasks such as auto-checking email.

Standby: Amount of time iPhone has been powered on since its last full charge, including the time the phone has been asleep.

Nothing. I have everything turned on. Bluetooth, wifi, LTE are all on. I don't turn Location Services or notifications off either. I have parallax on. Auto brightness in.

What is parallax? I have been told by people that having auto brightness ON reduces battery. Do it manually? (half way)

Parallax is the movement of your wallpaper behind the icons.
Don't know if auto brightness helps or hurts battery life, but I always leave mine on.

That's great. I'm noticing improved battery time also since the 7.0.4 update. But it was great before that.

I am currently been interested in getting the 5s but have been a bit skeptical about it due to the battery life. This thread has turned me around a bit since everyone seems to be reporting excellent battery life.

The 5s has the best battery life of any smart phone I have owned. I'm still going on a 100% charge from Friday night. Charged it about 10% in the car about 30 mins ago. I'm about to put in on the charger now before I go to work.

I have a Droid Maxx and it lasts 42 hours easy with 8+ hours "screen on" time and 11ish if its on wifi . My iPhone 5s gets 12 hours stand by and about 3.5 hours "usage" and I have *Everything* off to save battery, except the Cellular Antenna - that stays on of course . lol. I went to genius bar today, he says that sounds about normal and checked my battery and says its good so idk, I was kinda let down..

You weren't expecting the 5S batt to last as long as the Droid Maxx? That battery is huge.

I just switched to a 5s from a Nexus4 (I've switched between iPhone and Android a stupid number of times) and my most objective point of reference is how much battery is eaten up between disconnecting it from the charger when I wake up in the morning, and my arrival at work. My morning routine is wake up, pull phone off charger, change into my bike clothes, ride to work, shower/change into work clothes, and then head to my office, which altogether takes about an hour...I don't use my phone at all during that time. My Nexus4, without fail, would be at 96% when I walked into my office. This morning, my first work day with the 5S, the battery was at 99%. Now, the N4 doesn't have LTE, so I'll be curious to see what the effect is on days when I'm out an about and using a lot of data, but I'm optimistic.
