The next test was in the 7mb download... I’m right on the edge of LTE... I swear sometimes it seems like just a bit of a breeze can affect the signal.

My iPhone 4S had those type of speeds. For a 5S it's not too great nor terrible.

I don't understand what you are trying to say. Doesn't matter what phone you're using 3G on, it isn't going to be any faster just because it's on a newer phone. 3G is 3G.

Are you sure? From my research there are different levels of 3G. One of them is HSPA+ ( excuse my spelling).
That type of 3G Is faster than the standard 3G.

Who is your carrier? Some US carriers call HSPA+ 4G. Were both phones on the same carrier?

I'm in Australia and using a network called Optus. We use HSPA+ instead if 4g with this network in Canberra. . Not 4g yet, it's coming next month.

No 4g for my area for a while, but don't really need it by the looks of things
