Spencer, I use an app called "Fixel" by Adobe Labs. I don't remember if it's free, but it basically erases what you want out of any picture when you use the mask and then "patch it"

It's also great for when you take a picture and someone photo bombs it on you and you want to erase their ugly mug lmao !

Sometimes doing a patch can be finicky and you'll have to patch over the same spot a few times, but overall it works great a good majority of the time.
I've been using it for quite some time and I like it.
