How can I recover a disabled and forgotten passcode?

My son has our old iphone 5c and set a passcode and has forgotten the passcode. He has tried so many times the phone has been disabled for over 24 hours now. I have tried the recovery method through itunes.

I am at a loss as to unlock this phone can someone help?

If you’re referring to the lock screen passcode, restoring the device will allow you to start over fresh, however, if you’re referring to the iCloud Activation Lock, there isn’t anything any of us can do for you.
