Check the usual suspects:

1. Reboot your iPhone
2. Check the mute switch on the side of the device.
3. Make sure that the Do Nit Disturb feature is enabled.
4. Check the volume buttons.
5. Make sure a notification sound is selected in the sound settings.
6. Make sure that alerts is enabled in the notification settings.
