how to activate iphone 5c with no sim card

i have a iphone 5c and it says "it may take a few minutes to activate your iphone" and goes straight into "please insert sim card" but i dont wanna activate it with a sim card only on wifi but I don't know how to do it with a computer I tried but its being really difficult

Welcome to iMore! Well, there are two different answers to this question depending on what kind of phone you have:

CDMA models can be activated without a SIM through iTunes. Connect to a Mac/PC via USB and launch iTunes to complete the process.

GSM models cannot bypass activation. You'll need to have a SIM in the phone until activation is complete.
