Some tech blogs think so, but it will depend on which one consumers prefer more. Only time will tell for sure...

Who knows? Not really much to discuss until we see this weekend...you can assume the 5S didn't have the quantity available based on the lack of pre-order, but for all we know, they have plenty of stock of both and are ready to go tomorrow with very little shortage issues.

I'm pretty positive it will be. The 5c can be cranked out much faster than the 5s. I would imagine they can do at least 10 5c's in the same time it takes to make a single 5s.

They arrived, and yes. It would be cynical will to suggest that Apple planned to have a tiny amount of 5s available, and a mountain of 5c, in an effort to get people in their stores and hope they will settle for the phone with possibly( what do you think? :P ) the more profitable mark-up. Apple's famously discerning customers may not be easily persuaded that the slightly cheaper model is value for money. Not everyone uses after-market cases, especially those who gain self-gratification from seeing others looking upon the logo adorning their luxury items.

Personally, using a sturdy case is a must. So, for me the 5c is a no-brainer. I need a fingerprint reader on my phone just as much as on my laptop, not at all.

Question: do Apple's customers buy the phone, or the brand? If they buy the phone, 5c sells well. If they buy the brand, may be not so well.

I think the supply issue of the 5S is probably just difficulty getting manufacturing ramped up for the fingerprint sensor part. I'm sure Apple would rather have unlimited stock to fill demand.

Well, I got the 64 GB iPhone 5S black/space grey. The white/silver and white/gold phones were sold out. I'm happy.
