Why my contact search return email search result?

I am unable to search my contacts from contact list search on my Iphone5. It always return me the mail searched item instead from my contact list. It started happening after I updated to IOS9.1 on my Iphone5

Welcome to iMore! I recently had someone else on here with the same issue and this worked for them:
1. Open Contacts and tap on GROUPS

2. Deselect all groups, and then re-select all groups
