I have an iPhone 5 with a capacity of 16GB. Unfortunately the whatsApp documents and data storage is taking a whopping 10.2GB of storage. The photos/videos showing on my phone is less than 100mb. So where is the other data/documents are is a mystery. So I would like the readers to tell me where I could locate the documents and data are stored so I could delete them and reduce the storage.

I sent this message to whatsApp when the storage was 9.9GB:
CAN YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW DO I REDUCE MY DOCUMENTS & DATA STORAGE ON WHATSAPP WHICH IS NOW 9.9GB?

I received a standard reply few minutes later:

You could try to uninstall the app, restart your device, and then reinstall the app. Maybe that will clear some space.
