Why my iphone is not charge a battery

When I bought my iphone 5 its battery take very short time and after this the battery is empty.. I plugin the charger after few time but it won?t responsed. I replaced the battery then its ok.. Now the same thing done with this battery and Its also not charging... What should I do ?
It take some time or this battery is also dead ?

I can only *assume* that the device is defective or may have water damage of some sort, especially if you bought the phone used. If you live near an Apple Store, make a genius bar appointment to have them diagnose the problem for you.

Try leaving it charge over night they have a feature called rapid charge which as the name suggest charge it fast but not necessarily a full charge even though it says it's full, 8 that don't work bring it back to apple store immediately
