Trouble upgrading to from iOS 6.0 to IOS 7.0

I had an iPhone 3GS jailbreaked and unlocked. However I bought a new iPhone 5 a couple of weeks ago,
when activated it automatically came with iOS6.0 but ever since then i've not been able to upgrade the iOS any further.
Last message I got was "error 3004" when trying to install iOS7.0. Note that this is not a jailbreaked phone, though
I did make a full restore and backup from my last iPhone that was jailbreaked, dont know if this makes any difference?
Anyone had the same experience? How can I solve this?

Your computer's Hosts file needs to have entries removed from it for the host gs.apple.com - fix your host file, reboot the computer - and you should be able to update via iTunes fine.

Thanks kch50428! Do you know any guide or steps to edit the host file? Not very used to Terminal. Thanks alot!

hosts files can be edited with notepad on a windows machine... or the stock text editor on mac
