iOS 7 and iMessages

I have updated to iOS 7 and can't get it to recognise my phone number in iMessages. Can anyone help please?

I will be following this as I spent an hour on the phone with apple support this morning & we logged in & out of everything, turned things on & off, restarted, reset, redid everything & it wouldn't work. Their final suggestion was to backup then restore factory settings which I've done & it did not fix it. Furious is an understatement.

Did you go into settings, messages, send & receive and make sure your mobile number is checked ?

Do EXACTLY what Fastpitch_dad stated! and if that dies t work logout of iMessage, reboot your iPhone and then log back in and try again.

I can see my mobile number but it is grayed out and cannot check, only email can be checked.

I had the same issue earlier after upgrading to 7 with my 5 - iMessage wouldn't work. Did a full restore and working fine now.

1. Turn off imessage n facetime
2. Make sure to fix your "Country Code" and "Area Code" phone number at Apple id (appleid.apple.com)
Ex. Country code India = 91, Indonesia = 62
3. Restart Phone
4. Activated Again your iMessage n facetime
