It feels a lot harder to me, I always preferred the soft touch of the 4S.

I have the iPhone 5 and my son has the 4S. There is no difference between his home button and mine.

If you feel as though you are having an issue with your home button there was some very good suggestions posted in this thread that you can try: http://forums.imore.com/iphone-5/259...ery-weird.html

If you think something wrong, take it into a apple store, if you are within your year, they will help.

Is the response time good Chetan? That would be my primary concern. You can always get used to the feel if it is functioning properly.

Yeah its instant. I just really liked the softer touch of the 4S.

The iPhone 5 home button has more of a "click" to it. Which isn't an accident.

It might loosen up. I never noticed a difference from what I recall but that was almost a year ago too.

Yeah. Same with the power button. Seems a bit clickier at first. Then goes away a little bit.

I know. I just prefer a softer click to it.

I've never owned a 4S, but my iPhone 5 home button does seem more "clicky" than my iPad 2 home button. It doesn't bother me though.

The iPhone 5 home button has a harder click than the 4S and is also more durable.
