I had to get a new 5 on Friday for a sleep/wake button issue. I get to work on MOnday and plug into my work laptop to finish charging my phone and it does nothing. Any idea what might be my issue?

Make sure that it's not a faulty sync/charging cable or USB port. Will the replacement phone charge if you connect it to a wall charger? Does it charge if you connect it to your work computer using another sync/charging cable?

It charges on A/C no problem. I charged it using this same sync cable on my home laptop on Friday while I was putting my music back on. I wanna say I saw a message about installing device drives but I think that might have somehow been disrupted. Any way to force it to initiate driver installation again? Just grasping a straws here. I can get my phone charged at work no problem but I'd rather charge it via USB since the cable is so short.

That's what it is...not drivers installed for my 5. Went through the steps as outlined but option to "update driver" isn't activated. Oh well...

Sorry that it didn't work out for you. Hopefully someone else will have a better suggestion for this problem.

Contact your IT support at work. They can activate/install the driver for you.

Finally decided to go to IT and they won't install my drivers. Guess I can only charge via AC at work...
