Email is not updating via LTE or 3G

I am having issues with email.

When I'm out during the day my emails do not sync to my phone. When I get home and my wifi kicks in if I open my mail app then I get all my emails.

My ipad sits home all day on wifi and the mail is always up to date.

I tried deleting the mail account and re creating

Any help would be awesome.

Who's your carrier? I can only assume at this time that it is a carrier network issue of some sort. Try calling them and ask if they are having problems.

This happens to me to , thought it was normal because it was the same on my 4s, won't connect to email account until I open app. Which I kind of like it like that, the are not filling my phone till I'm ready for them, could it be something with the setting.

You are using fetch vs only certain email account allow for push.....

Also verify settings on how often to fetch, or only grab emails when you open the app.

Also check you data restrictions. Which will kill off all data compatible apps till you are on WiFi

Only some providers do push email.. You can turn on timed fetch so it can grab your emails every 15 minutes etc
