SquareTrade is reporting the the Galaxy S4 is more prone to damage than its S3 sibling. 10 being the easiest to damage, the S4 received a 7, the S3 had a 6.5 and the iPhone 5 gets a 5.

    Those scores including the screen?

Not sure but is assume so since SquareTrade would be fixing or replacing the various phones. Don't know exactly what their methodology in testing them is though.

Simple physics... S4 weighs more & has a bigger screen than iPhone 5 so of course it's more prone to breaking.

Seeing the drop test is nice. But a lot of people use cases on their phones anyway so it becomes a moot point.

But enough people don't use cases so SquareTrade has a profitable business. But yes if you have a protective case, you aren't going to be as concerned about drops.

I was quite surprised to see how much less durable the S4 is compared to the S3. Even with the bigger screen, one would think with an almost identical form factor and body size the small change in screen size wouldn't affect it that much.
