The receipt I received when I bought my phone on release day said 30 days. When I went to return it today, I was told that its now 14 days but I was covered. I guess they changed it. Anyone know why?

AT&T doesn't need a reason... but it was in the press, and all over the tech blogs...

Sprint is 14 days too, they changed it like a year ago for us.

This doesn't come as any surprise to me. After Sprint and Verizon changed their return policy to 14 days, I figured it was only a matter of time before AT&T did so as well....

I think the dude at the Apple Store was wrong. I'm on the Apple site now. It says - You have 14 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. For an Apple iPhone, you have 30 calendar days.

Apple probably hasn't updated their site. The carriers control the return period and contracts. Not Apple. It just changed about a week ago.

Not 100% true, if you purchase through Sam's Club you have 30 days to return your device though if you go past 14 days you lose your upgrade but you could get your money back.

You losing your upgrade is due to exceeding the 14 days set by the carriers. Yes you can get your money back but you lost your upgrade.

And if you are a BestBuy Rewards Zone member (Silver level), you get 45 days to return ANYTHING, including phones.
