Am i the only one complaining about rhe iPhone 5s' camera?

I think its horrible with the flash and without the flash! I can't take any photos at night and if in the morning they're always blurred! I dont know what's the problem! But i think the GS3 camera s this camera easily! I am disappointed!

No problems here. I took this picture yesterday evening and it turned out pretty good.

Are you locking the AF/AE by tapping and holding on the screen where your subject is until the blue box flashes?

Pretty much, I'd say.

Mine takes great photos, and I have no complaints.

I just took this picture of my living room with the TV and kitchen light on...lol...I'd say the low light ability is working just fine in my case, don't know what to tell ya.

Maybe you should cut down on the partying at night.

Helps to stop those shaky morning photos, and photo loss at night.

:p

Camera seems really good to me. No complaints at all here. Even the front facing camera blows away my Nexus I owned previously.

The flash is out of sync. I get that sometimes also. Reboot the phone and it will fix itself (temporarily). I think it's an iOS 6 bug.

I agree with this advice. I had the same issue with my iPhone5. The flash would go off about 1/2 second too soon. You could clearly hear the shutter sound after the LED had turned off. A complete reboot (hold down the home button and the power button together for 10 seconds) fixed it.

Some posters on the Apple support forums say a restore from backup will fix it too. That seems a little drastic when a reboot worked for me, but if a reboot or two doesn't fix your issue then it would be the next logical step before taking it to an Apple store for exchange.

Quick question is it normal for pictures to NOT fill of the entire screen? When I take a picture whiling recording in landscape the pictures come out in full screen and when I have the phone in the normal position ( like I am making a call) the pictures don't fill the screen.

I really don't believe MoP was suggesting that you were stupid. There have been plenty of us that have made this simple mistake of forgetting to remove the plastic backing lol. In fact last July when my husband first got his 4, we forgot to take it off and were wondering why pics were coming out bad. Lol. So it's a simple mistake than anyone can make:)

Yes that is normal, the picture is zoomed out. You should be able to zoom in though. When in portrait orientation the picture will be zoomed out to fit width wise.
