Received new iPhone without SIM card

So I received my new 32g GSM (At&t) iPhone on Tuesday , without a SIM card. The closest store to me was not a corporate store anymore so they wanted to charge for one. I drove to the one in Mechanicsville Va, 15 minutes away. I highly recommend them as a store to go to. Not only did they give me a free SIM card, but a discount on my otterbox case as well.
Did anyone else receive their Gsm phone without a SIM card?

No, my Nano SIM was inside my iPhone 5 when I received it from Apple.

Got mine one day before I got my iPhone from my carrier.
