3G and LTE change

Anyone noticing that sometimes it is delayed showing correct data speed. Has anyone compared to another iPhone 5 on same network to see if signal strength is same and or doing same ?

I compared mine with one of my coworkers who also has AT&T and both of ours were the same. Even our speed tests were very similar.
