Did a few tests this morning. First was my iPhone 5 then, less than a minute later I did the same test with my iPad 3. The iPhone blew the iPad out of the water. I've also done the same test with my iPhone 4 and saw speeds of about 18-22 Mbps. But... I've done this test other times and have seen the numbers almost equal and then there were times when the iPad had the clear advantage. All tests were done at home.

    Any idea why?

Retested a few minutes ago. The iPad is right up there with the iPhone now. I also tested on my home computer. 59.16 download and 11.04 upload. This is through Comcast with their Blast! 50 Mbps service. I might try their Extream 105 service to see how that is but am afraid that I won't want to give it up. But, this is an example of how the numbers are all over the place.

I'm having the same issues. Got my best result today at the Apple Store in Akron.

There are a lot of variables that come into play w these reading. Internet traffic being one big one.

yeah i am trying to understand the issue so you have diff speeds thats common with wifi unless i am wrong lets say your wifi gets up to 50mb's down then that just means it can vary from 1-50 so you can always have diff results especially with other devices laptops , tv's mp3 players or another device on the network using bandwidth and lawd knows if you have cable providers your whole neighborhood can determine it plus time of day i am just saying is this really an issue???
