Home button seems noisy

I noticed tonight that when I use the home button you can hear a noise like a click. I don't have that on my 4S. Anyone else notice this? It must have been there since I got it last week but I just noticed it.

Thanks for letting me know jsntrenkler. I had a feeling it might be made differently but wanted it confirmed.

Yeah. I notice more of a click sound. Really haven't thought nothing of it.

I think some iPhones just have more of a clicking sound to them than others. As long as it is functioning normally I would just ignore the click and enjoy your new iPhone 5.

They completely changed the the home button intentionally to do give you that click. All of the new phones should be this way. I know the older phones were pretty random even then after a bit they'd get soft. The iPhone 5 button will not do this over time and the "click" will remain.

I notice if I push it by placing my thumb just a little off center (towards the upper left) it is not as "clicky".

Yeah, I've noticed the clicking being a lot louder on the 5. Kinda reminds me of the click sound the power button makes at the top of the phone.

Thanks all for the additional input. I was just concerned it meant there was a problem with the button.
