How is your iPhone 5 battery life?

I'm experiencing pretty great battery life. Much better than my 4S.

At 29% right now, 13 hours 8 minutes standby. 7 hours 6 minutes usage.

Been using it pretty heavily throughout the day with music, youtube videos, downloaded an album, browsed the web. I feel like I'm getting much better battery life than I did with 4S.

So I just came from Android and just got the iphone 5. Android could give you much more specific battery stats. All I see is 7.5 hours of usage after one day, and 12.5 of standby. Is that good?
How do I find out whats running because I know I didnt have the screen on for 7 hours.
Also, Why does wifi eventually turn off when the screens off? It's just a terrible move. You use data while the screens off vs Wifi. Why would anyone want that?
So is that good battery life?

This is beyond ridiculous. Thought the dfu restore fixed my phone but it didn't. Been texting a friend for the past hour and that's all.

I get the same battery life on my S3 with a larger screen so yes its slightly ridiculous but this is also apples first attempt at LTE.

I don't know what you do with your phone...
The i5 uses the Apple A6 processor. Dual-core, 1GB of RAM, and clocked at roughly 1.2gHz.

Usage is a number of different things. If you're listening to music with the screen off, that's usage. If you get a text while it's in your pocket, that's usage. If your iPhone checks for emails, that's usage. Pretty much any time the phone has to process something it's considered usage. Stanby is the time your phone has been unplugged from your charger as long as your device isn't turned off.

That's good battery life, depending what you do. Obviously if you're listening to music through your headphones for four hours it isn't good battery stats, but if you're browsing, streaming, etc a lot it's pretty good. But usually 7.5 hours of usage is good.

And anything that will use data will turn the Wi-Fi back on. It won't use cellular data if your Wi-Fi is turned on. When the screen is off, the Wi-Fi goes off to save battery. However, it will check for everything using Wi-Fi.

I leave LTE on, turn off apps that don't need location services, most notifications are off, auto brightness is off and turned down, bluetooth is off, and email is changes to check every 30 min. I'm getting great battery life.

How do I know of something is running in the background when it shouldn't be? Like a rogue app or something that isn't right ?

Overall very impressed with my battery life compared to my 4S. Use my device exactly the same as before and get better life from it. I used to need to charge my 4S around 4pm but with the 5 I make it to 7pm-8pm with my normal use.

My stanby has always been great. At work, when I'll have my phone in my pocket for 4-8 hours, it barely drop at all. Today I was getting pretty bad usage, though. This is some browsing, FB, a 2 minute phone call and a little bit of texting. Also about 15 minutes of music over the speakers.

Wow thats not good.you need to turn off some of your location services that you doesnt need,manage your notification services by turning off the unnecessary ones,lower your brightness etc
