When you want to rename a folder just wait until the keyboard pops up. Touch the globe icon between the numbers and microphone and see all the cool icons for you to choose from. To exit the icons just touch the globe icon again and your back to the letters of the keyboard. Check it out

It’s not an application, per se... it’s the Emoji keyboard... go to Settings / General / Keyboard / Keyboards / Add New Keyboard and then scroll to the Emoji keyboard to add it. Then you will see the "globe" icon between the "123" key and the "microphone" key. Clicking on that "globe" key will switch to the Emoji keyboard where you will find all of the graphic symbols.
