iPhone 5 possible defects.

I was playing around with one of the iPhone 5's that came into my store today and notice that when I had it playing through a bluetooth speaker and then layed the back of the phone on top of a metal surface, it stopped playing music. Im thinking the blue tooth chip is possibly being blocked or somthing.
