    I bought a used IPhone 4s the other day and I'm trying to sync it to my PC (Windows 8) and ii connects but immediately disconnects and it repeats over and over again and again and I have brand new cord and my phone is IOS 7.1.2

    have you tried a different Usb port ?

    Have you checked the port on your phone? Could possibly be some lint in the opening which is preventing a proper connection. Just another suggestion to try and help you.
