Hey everyone. I tried to synch/backup/etc my iPhone yesterday and iTunes would not recognize it. I am running on Windows 8 and the only change I have made since it worked last was an iTunes upgrade to the newest version which was a few days ago. I tried to do the reinstall/repair from iTunes but that did not work. I could uninstall iTunes completely but how do I keep the information on my library such as number of times the song has been played and song rating --- or is that even worth it?

Uninstalling iTunes will not do anything to your media files and library so if you uninstall and reinstall iTunes it should find your stuff again.

I know I will find my stuff I've done that plenty of times. I will lose the synch between the phone and library so I just have to delete the phone songs and put them back on.

I also have tried different cables reboots on the phone and computer but nothing. Tapatalk doesn't recognize the link so I will try it when I get home.
