iPhone 4S calendar issues

My 4S is deleting items on the calendar (standard that came with the phone) that are more than a month back from the present date. For example. I have all entries in November and December 2012 but October 2012 and back are gone.
Any ideas as to why this is occuring? Is it an iO6 issue?

In settings under mail contact calendar check the sync its prob set to one month or something .. Change it to all events

I did as you suggested but all that is under calendar is New invitation alerts (on), Time Zone Support, Default alert times, Default calendar and shared calendar alerts.

Are you using iCloud for your calendar? There should be a Sync option between Time Zone Support and Default Alert Time.
