If I am playing an asynchronous game through Gamecenter (like Ticket to Ride) and it is time for my turn, which app sends the push notification, GameCenter or Ticket To Ride? I'm wondering because I'm trying to minimize my notifications for battery life, and if GameCenter handles "it's your turn" notifications, I can turn them off in individual games.

The game itself sends notifications most of the time, and it can be removed through the game AND through your notification settings (which will list all apps that use/send notifications)...you can turn them fully off, partially off or customize the types you want to receive.

This seems to work perfectly on everything except the Facebook app, which has a mind of its own (and i hate it so much sometimes).

Thanks. I have a couple of games I actually do want to receive notifications from, but I figured I only want them to come from one place.
