Camera zoom

This is my first time using this so forgive my ignorance . When making a video can I zoom in? Or is is only the ae/af lock thing. I'm not sure I understand. Can someone she some light?

You can zoom in a little by double tapping the screen...but its very negligible.

Just tap on the screen while recording and adjust the Zoom slider in or out.

Also, pinch to zoom works well. Give it a shot.

I just tried to zoom on a video clip that I've taken and it zooms really well in portait mode. Not so much in landscape mode. I don't think I can zoom while shooting a video.

You're simply exploding the picture up to full screen in landscape mode when you do that...hence my smilies when i suggested that earlier.

Exploding the picture should not be named as zoom, as it just ruin the original quality. I think we should stay at original picture rather than zooming it that way, it ruins the pixels just by increasing the size of the picture.
