    I'm showing the charging plug but the percentage is only 74%.

    Just let it cool down. Try to use it until it the battery dies and it shuts itself off and recharge it all of the way to recalibrate your battery.

    The battery won't charge if it's too hot, but since you've got it plugged in, the charging plug icon shows instead anyway.

    Your battery is probably fine, but keeping it in the hot truck often will make the battery naturally degrade faster.

    Just wondering. Went with my brother to drop the car off with his wife and her aunt insisted that we come inside. Lol

    A friend of mine did the polar opposite - she left her iPhone in her car over night and it was in the single digit temperatures. Glad your phone is working!!
