How do I take a song from my music on iTunes and move it to ringtones?

I don?t think it is as simple as that. You need to find an app for customizing ringtones. Have a look in the app store.

My phone is jailbroken therefore giving me much more access to areas of my phone and I know there are lots of ringtones packages available to me.

But I'm guessing your phone isn't jailbroken, so try the app store.

Try "Business Ringtones" by RCP. I use it and am well pleased. The ringtones and alerts are not annoying (at least not to me) and are designed for professionals. You can find it in the App Store.
