Words with friends could be a drain but not that much. Hard to say without knowing what your other settings are.

Facebook is a killer on the battery, but I find wifi was a big drain for me.

I have no service at home . I thought wifi would drain less battery.

That's your problem: no service. That will drain your battery faster tha anything else. If you don't need the phone for calls while at home, put it in airplane mode. Or you could just do that temporarily to see if that is the cause of the drain.

The lack of service is causing your phone to constantly search for a signal... and that's the big drain... I keep wifi on all the time, and I get through the day easily with power to spare...

Like everyone says, it's the No Service issue. Even on wifi it still looks for a signal to receive calls. You need to turn on Airplane Mode, then turn wifi back on. (Airplane mode will turn it off but all you have to do is turn it on again in Settings.)

That's exactly what it was! I turned it off 4 hours ago and used it and te battery barely moved! I turned it back on, walked away and a few minutes later my battery dropped 5 percent! Airplane mode it is! Hopefully I'll remember to turn it back on when I go out . Thanks!!!

By the way, if you're jailbroken you can turn it off and on really easily using sbsettings or a number of other apps.
