Syncing will change 25% of contacts?

When I plug my new iPhone 4s into my desktop computer, I get a message: "syncing w/Dee's iphone will change more than 25% of your contacts on this computer'. I have two choices: cancel sync or allow

My question is; why would 25% of my contacts on my computer change? I'm confused.

I thought when I synced my iphone it would sync my contacts from outlook. Can someone explain this message?
