Losing 3G signal

Im having a bit of a strange issue. At times I am losing my 3G signal and it turns to the circle if I am using Internet services. This doesn't happen to my other friends' iPhone 4 who are next to me, both Verizon and AT&T. I'm in new York city so signal is definitely not an issue. Is this happening to anyone else?

try a hard reset by holding the home an sleep button and the same time for about 20 seconds until you see a white apple logo.. if that doesnt work take it in to get looked at
