I'm a newbie to iPhone after purchasing a 4S. After I connected my new iPhone to my computer for the first time, I expected all of my Contacts in the Address Book on my iMac to copy over to my iPhone, but they didn't. I have an Exchange email account and all of the Contacts from my Exchange email account show up under Contacts on my iPhone, but none of the ones from the Address Book are there.

I checked in iTunes under the Info tab and the option to Sync Address Book Contacts was originally not checked. By checking that and re-syncing, I thought my problem would be solved, but still no Address Book contacts.

What am I missing here? Thanks.

Try deleting your exchange account then resync with iTunes and see if u get them and then enable your exchange account

Tried what you suggested. Now it just says there are no contacts.
