Siri and notes

I can take notes with Siri no problem, the problem is when I want it to search for a note that has been taken. She responds "there are no notes". I know good and well that there is notes and I can open the notes app and manually find them. What gives?

When I search for a particular note Siri opens that note. The command I use is "(the name of specific note) notes". Siri opens that particular note.
