No zoom?

Is it just me or does the iPhone 4S camera not zoom like the iPhone 4? When I tap the screen the slider bar doesn't show up...

With iOS 5 you pinch to zoom, just like with photos.

i thought the same thing. the pinch to zoom makes sense but sometimes im trying to take a pic with one hand or something and the tap is useful in that situation.

I thought there was no zoom until I just happened to to pinch and figured it out. That and having an actual camera button makes this phone kill all Android phones, in my opinion, where the Camera is concerned.
