Stuck on EDGE

We are pegged on both edge and 3G. There is a tower not far from home. That is why we went to AT&T from Verizon back in 2008 when we move here.

has to be a network issue, upgrading towers or something... has to be

that is why you don't go with AT&T folks spotty coverage everywhere and. at least with Sprint I always have service and 3G

There are definitely upgrades/maintenance going on.

Doesn't explain why my 4S won't flip back to 3G. The wife's 4 flips back just fine.

I just swapped my microsim. Have already swapped phone. All I can do is go from here.

At least it's a marginal issue... Could be worse when I had vzw and had 3G and was picking up both Alltel and vzw towers and it canceled out my data signals

Definitely a network issue. Phone was already swapped, swapped the microsim today. Same thing. I even restored as new...just in case. Same thing.

I have AT&T and for a couple of days a week or so ago I noticed my 4S going to edge in an area where it shouldn't have. But it never got stuck on edge. I did however download opera mini in case it gets stuck on edge so that I can still have good loading speeds if I have to search the web.

1xRTT displays as 3G?

how come 1xRTT(2.5G) displays as 3G when I am roaming?isn't 1xRTT 2.5G.....also how come Faeroe can't connect when I am roaming on 1xRTT? it says facetime can only connect on 3G or Wi-Fi, why not on 1xRTT even though it displays 3G?
